About C R Industries

CRI was founded in 1985 by Clarence Weisflog as a family-run business that started with two employees and three machines. Over the course of the next 37 years with his 2 sons and son in law, they grew the business to 44,000 square feet of manufacturing space and to over 45 employees. Today CRI is a complete, full-service metal fabricating company with powder coating capabilities and UL-approved assembly.

In August of 2022 CRI was acquired by business partners and friends, Rich Ballenger and Erik Thompson. Both Rich and Erik have held numerous executive leadership roles with large global manufacturing companies. Their varying experiences led them to a $200M metal manufacturing company conveniently enough less than 100 yards from C R Industries where Rich was the President and Erik his right-hand man. After parting ways with this company Rich and Erik decided to start a company of their own and capitalize on the experience and knowledge they have gained in their quite diverse careers.

That led them to the acquisition of CRI. CRI prides itself on providing outstanding customer service and taking care of its employees. Both of these values are extremely important to both Rich and Erik. CRI has a strong employee base and capabilities that set them apart from a significant number of competitors.
